Launch of the Archive
This past November, during the week of Paris Photo, we introduced something we have been building with care for some time — the STORM Archive and Library.
The Archive was born from a simple but urgent conviction: that books, prints, and artefacts from the SWANA region and its diaspora deserve to be held, shared, and kept alive. Not as curiosities, but as living records of thought, culture, and image-making that too often circulate at the margins of the broader art world.
At the invitation of MIDDLE EAST ARCHIVE, 5-year anniversary exhibition, we carefully curated a selection and opened a space for another kind of encounter, one rooted in the materiality of the book and the histories it carries.
This launch was a beginning. We are building up a series of curated reading rooms with guests and talks in the coming year. Stay tuned.
