May 18 • MESHMOSH Family program : Sage Planting and Tea with Zane Elias

Explore the sage plant with Zane Elias in our Meshmosh family program. Together, we'll study its scientific and culinary aspects, discuss its significance in the Arab world, sip on our very own sage tea, and even plant Sage to take home.

This session is tailored for children aged 4-7.
We will begin with a brief herb exploration and discussion followed by a tea-making activity where we will use sage to create refreshing iced tea, enjoy a snack, and storytime. The workshop will conclude with a communal plant potting.

Zane Elias is a Palestinian-American environmental educator and gardener. He completed a fellowship at the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens Children's Garden and currently works alongside the waterfront alliance as their environmental educator.
