Oct 27 • Beyond Borders: Weaving Art and Solidarity for Palestine

A one day pop-up and performance curated by Dolce Stil Criollo and Fouta Harissa

Together, Fouta Harissa and Dolce Stil Criollo designed and produced two t-shirts and a silk handwoven scarf to raise funds for the organization Gaza Medical Tent.

Dolce Stil Criollo, the “sweet creole style,” is a project whose editorial line and experiments in design seek to inspire a reader to traverse languages.

Fouta Harissa is a textile studio that celebrates Tunisian weaving traditions and a commitment  to an artisan-powered future.

The program will weave voices and sounds in the form of poetry and music, inviting past Dolce Stil Criollo contributors and friends of the publication who are part of solidarity networks for Palestine––and whose voices will be streamed on Bethlehem-based Radio Alhara the day before as part of this special programming.

    Contributors will include:
    Andrew Riad,
    Grace Villamil,
Funto Omojola & Tosin aka BABAS,
    and Jordan Topiel Paul.

Very special items especially designed and produced for the Beyond Borders campaign will be for sale, including a 100% silk scarf, designed by Fouta Harissa and handwoven in Tunis, and two climate positive cotton t-shirts with vintage Palestinian-inspired prints, designed by Dolce Stil Criollo.”

100% of net sales profits from the Fouta Harissa x Dolce Stil Criollo Beyond Borders collection are donated to Gaza Medical Tent, a volunteer network of displaced Palestinian doctors and healthcare professionals providing free primary health services and crisis medical attention for children and adults in Gaza.

Join us for an afternoon of art, culture, and connection.
