Sept 26 • Seeds, an artistic landscape with Carmen Bouyer

Ending our series of events arounds seeds with Carmen Bouyer we are hosting the launch of our seed library. Carmen will lead an artistic workshop to help you design your own seed library for your home or community space. The seed library will be an art piece in itself, made of naturally dyed fabrics and local seeds, designed to be activated and nourished over time. The seeds being shared will come from plants that are native and non-native from the New York City area, each chosen for their beneficial qualities both for humans and non-human (excluding invasive and biologically engineered ones).

Each participant will be invited to share their stories with regards to seeds, opening ourselves to the metaphor of “seeds” and what it means to each of us. These seed stories will be shared as we each craft a unique object that celebrates regeneration through time.

Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
