STORM books • Our space is designed to be modular and accessible. However, since it is located within the bookstore, we must be mindful of the books and their fragility.
Please remember that if attendees move around, they could inadvertently damage the books or shelves. <3
STORM is committed to PACBI guidelines –Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel which advocates for a boycott of Israeli academic and cultural institutions for their deep and persistent complicity in Israel’s apartheid regime and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people.
TYPE OF EVENT • We host book and magazines launches, workshops and skillsharesThough many of our workshops involve speaking aspects, what differentiates our workshops from our know shares is an applied activity that participants will engage along with the host. Let us know which one best describes your ideal share.
TICKET PRICING • We strive to keep our workshops accessible and ensure that all children's workshops prices are aligned. We offer a sliding scale pricing option as much as possible, although sometimes it doesn't work. The option includes 3 tiers : low-income, standard, and pay-it-forward rates.
RECOMMENDED CAPACITY •
Kids workshops : 10-12 kids
Adult workshops 10-15 depending on needed space
Knowledge share up to 30
Listening event up to 50
FOOD & BEVERAGE • Please list the snacks or food items you need below. Please avoid any sticky or crumbly items. This will need to be approved by the STORM team. Thank you!
DATES • Please include multiple dates.
STORM is closed to all events on Mondays.
Events and workshops are usually held on week nights Wed – Sat.
Children's events are held on Sat mornings.
Please note that not that all selected dates might not available, we will let you know if your requested dates work out!
DURATION • Workshops are generally 2hours long, but can be slightly longer if needed. Kid's workshops : recommend planning for 1:30h.
