APRIL 30 • WORKSHOP Flora & Fauna - Damascene Tile Workshop by Rama Duwaji
Join Rama Duwaji for a 2.5-hour hands-on tile workshop at Huda, where you'll explore the intricate beauty of damascene tiles, focusing on the rich floral and fauna motifs commonly found in Syrian ceramics. Through guided instruction, you’ll paint a set of four tiles, learning about the symbolism and meanings behind the flowers and plants that shaped these designs. The workshop will delve into the history and cultural significance of these motifs, as well as how the local Syrian ecology and native flowers influenced the art of the time. Your completed tiles will be glazed and ready for pick-up in two weeks.
