Feb 20 • Syrian Block Printing – Roya Haroun
Drawing inspiration from Roya Haroun's Hamwi roots and Syria's rich tradition of fabric block printing, participants will interact with fabrics from her family's collection and wooden blocks carved in Hama.
They will also learn to carve their own blocks and print on fabric!
Please bring an item you would like to embellish and wear clothing you don't mind dirtying! (blank tote bags will also be available)
Roya Haroun is a Syrian-American multidisciplinary artist and printmaker based in Brooklyn, NY.
