    Hajar Hussaini is a poet and translator. Hussaini’s first poetry collection is Disbound (University of Iowa Press, 2022), and her first translation is the novel Death and His Brother by Khosraw Mani, forthcoming with Syracuse University Press in 2025. Her long titular poem is available through Daedalus, the open-access journal of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and her poetic statement is available through the Poetry Foundation. Her translations of contemporary Afghan literature have been published or are forthcoming in the Academy of American Poets' Poem-a-Day, Annulet, Asymptote, and Los Angeles Review. A graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, she is a visiting assistant professor of English at Skidmore College.

    Summer Farah is a Palestinian American writer from California. The author of the chapbook I could die today and live again (Game Over Books, 2024), she organizes with the Radius of Arab American Writers and is a member of the National Book Critics Circle. She is calling on you to recommit yourself to the liberation of the Palestinian people each day.
