In this beginner-level Tatreez course, artist Sam Sundos will introduce participants to the long-standing Palestinian embroidery technique and its origins, focusing on its historical use as a form of resistance against occupying forces. During this 2,5-hour session, attendees will receive 'Tatreez packets' containing Aida cloth, tapestry needles, thread, and 2 primary motifs, along with an opportunity to explore various other designs. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding, not just of a new skill, but also of the people's fight for liberation.
2 scholarship spots are reserved for Palestinians. Send us an email hello@stormbookstore.com
